Follow these procedures to place telephone calls from CMU campus telephones.
Note! There will not be a
second dial tone after dialing 9 for off-campus calls. To assure
yourself of disconnection of a long distance call, hold down the
switch hook for five seconds before placing your next call. Otherwise,
your first call will be placed on hold and you will continue to be
billed for that call.
Placing Local Calls
- On campus: Dial the last 4 digits of all 774- numbers.
- Off campus (to Mt. Pleasant, Blanchard, Breckenridge, Coleman, Midland,
Rosebush, Shepherd, Weidman, and Winn): Dial "9" then all 7
digits of the number.
