Effective: November
15, 2001
Woldt Computer Lab
Color printouts can only be done with employee assistance and are limited to 3
pages maximum. Regular black and white printouts are supposed to be limited in
length to 20 pages. (Since customers do this without employee intervention, it
is difficult to enforce. IT does post signs asking users to limit the size of
their jobs to 20 pages.)
In cases where IT staff observe someone abusing the printers (printing
large numbers of fliers or other non-academic materials), IT will take
the printouts and ask the user to stop.
CBA Computer Center
Color printouts can only be done with lab consultant's assistance.
Regular black and white printouts are limited to 100 pages maximum (50 double sided pages).
(CBA has taken several steps to reduce ongoing printing costs. CBA has
installed new double-sided printers to reduce paper use. These printers use an
extended output toner cartridge to help save on toner costs. CBA has also tried
to encourage faculty to minimize assignments and projects that will encourage
excessive lab printing.)
Pearce Computer Center
Unlimited printing to all lab users.
(Printers are located behind the consultants’ desk. If a user is printing an
enormous amount, the consultants will speak to that user.)
