WEB SERVICES
Information Technology can provide web hosting for individuals in the University community, for Registered Student Organizations, and for department level entities. All Web servers associated with Central Michigan University must be registered with Information Technology. For more information on server registration, visit the Web Server Policy site (http://www.cmich.edu/web-policy/web-server-registration.htm).

For Registered Student Organizations
RSOs may request server space by visiting the site: http://www.rso.cmich.edu.

For Departments
The Information Systems Web Development Team provides a number of services to departments and colleges on campus and for some affiliated organizations. Departments Will also have the ability in the new CMU Portal to create 'intranet' departmental websites. Most of these offerings are available at no cost to general fund departments and are available for a nominal fee to other areas. Such services include:

DATABASE SUPPORT
The Information Systems team supports a custom authentication database for global account management. The authentication routine is used to validate users who sign on to secure web sites and selected administrative web applications. In addition, we support databases used for all department web applications and the SAP Campus Management web applications.

CMU Portal/Campus Management Support
In Summer, 2006, CMU launches the SAP Campus Management system. Campus Mangement (CM) will be accessible to students through the new CMU Portal - available on http://my.cmich.edu. The portal will allow students to search and register for courses, view their personal information and much more. CM Replaces the OASIS and STAR systems. Students will also be able to process account receivable credit card and ACH payments through the portal.
